You're invited to the glorious Bold Park Aquatic Centre to immerse yourself in an intimate experience as you eavesdrop on the conversations of ordinary everyday people through a personal headset.

A mother tries to connect with her adult daughter.

A man continues his rehabilitation to strengthen his knee.

Two teenagers find privacy in a lie to their parents.

Bombies in the deep end while the lifeguard isn’t looking, water aerobics classes, hot chips and choc milk – The Pool is an exploration of life as we know it and a celebration of our public spaces that create community. It is a delightfully voyeuristic experience, raw and relatable in every way.

You're invited to join the cast and volunteers in the pool for a ten-minute Aqua Fit class after the show. Ticket holders will be invited to register their interest in the class closer to the performance date.

: What is Aqua Fit?

Aqua Fit combines circuit, cardio, strength and Zumba and is designed to improve flexibility, strength and fitness. Suitable for all fitness levels, the class is held in shallow water at a depth that starts at 1.10m, so strong swimming skills are not required.

Is the pool heated?

Yes – to 26.5C

How will I know when to join in?

You will be guided by the performers and it will be very clear to you.

I’m under 18, can I join?

Yes, with your parent or guardian’s supervision.

Where can I change into my bathers?

Please ensure your bathers are on prior to the start of the performance. You are welcome to arrive in your bathers or use the changing facilities at Bold Park Aquatic Centre on arrival.

Can I change after the show?

Yes, you are welcome to use the changing facilities as needed.

How long is the class?

Approximately 10 minutes.

I’m not sure if I want to join, can I decide on the night?

We have a limited capacity for the Aqua Fit class so encourage you to register in advance. If there is space available on the night you can register at the Box Office.

How do I register?

Notes	Gates open from 7.15pm The audience will be seated on concrete bleachers at Bold Park Aquatic Centre so we recommend bringing a cushion or low chair for your comfort. A small number of plastic chairs will be available for audiences who require them. As this is an outdoor venue in a bushland setting, we recommend you bring insect repellent.
