Perth Festival Privacy Policy
Perth Festival is committed to protecting your privacy and is subject to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle your personal information in compliance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). As in the Act, in this Privacy Policy “personal information” refers to information or an opinion about an individual who is reasonably identifiable. This Privacy Policy outlines how we deal with your personal information.
All reasonable steps are taken by Perth Festival to protect the personal information we collect from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.

How is Personal Information Collected?
Collection of information will occur at the time a customer provides details to Perth Festival or our authorised agents or when our electronic services are used to obtain information or make a transaction. Customers can purchase tickets from Perth Festival and make philanthropic donations using various channels. These include but are not limited to our website, Information Centre, Philanthropy campaigns, in person at the Box Office and through authorised ticketing agencies.

We may collect a range of personal information, including but not limited to:

  • IP address and browsing information (when you visit our website)
  • Relevant qualifications (for job and volunteer applicants)

3. How is Personal Information Provided to and Used by Third Parties?

When you purchase tickets, make donations, or provide information, your data is entered into a customer relationship management system (Tessitura), shared within a consortium of West Australian arts organisations for ticketing, marketing, fundraising, and customer relationship management.

The consortium includes:

  • Black Swan State Theatre Company
  • Co3 Australia
  • West Australian Ballet
  • West Australian Opera
  • Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company
  • WA Museum Boola Bardip
  • Arts and Culture Trust
  • Foundation for the WA Museum
  • Arts and Culture Trust contractors, project partners, and suppliers

While Perth Festival primarily accesses your data, the consortium organisations can view your name and contact details.
We may share your data with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents (“third parties”) who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work.
 On behalf of our business partners, we may also send you offers of certain products, services, or promotions.

4. Website / Cookies Policy

When using Perth Festival’s social media pages (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter(X), TikTok), you are subject to the privacy policies of those platforms. We do not endorse third-party views expressed on these platforms, but we may use aggregate information from our social media interactions to understand our audience and improve services.

Perth Festival’s website may link to third-party sites. While some may feature our logo, we do not operate these sites. We are committed to protecting your financial data. Credit card details are used only for the specific transaction and not for marketing purposes. For security, credit card information is not stored on our web servers. Transaction details are retained only for accounting purposes.
