For Schools
Each year we create a range of exciting opportunities for teachers and students to access world class performances, connect to artists and ideas, and foster a life-long love of the arts.

School Performances
Select performances from our 2026 Perth Festival program come with discounted ticket prices specifically for schools to access, as well as some resources and Q&As to deepen engagement.

Professional development program
Our 2025/2026 professional development program offers teachers the opportunity to work alongside incredible local and international artists and gain insight into their creative practice. These opportunities aim to nurture and inspire teachers, empowering them with practical tools to ignite creativity, and integrate back into the classroom.
While these workshops are designed to be standalone events, we strongly recommend that you book tickets for the associated show to get the most out of your Festival experience!
To support teachers and their busy schedules, our 2026 PD program will be spread out across a wider time period.

Partner Schools Program
Our Partner Schools program returns in 2026 for its 9th consecutive year. This incredible program sees Perth Festival partner with 8 schools across the metro area and 1 regional school, providing them with a tailored program of performances, workshops and professional development opportunities, including transport, at no cost.
Our 2026 Partner Schools are:
Aveley Secondary College
Balga Senior High School
Belmont City College
Dianella Secondary College
Gilmore College
Girrawheen Senior High School
Jurien Bay High School
Swan View Senior High School
Thornlie Senior High School

Creative Pathways
This year we continue to build on our partnership with Mt Lawley SHS, which sees students from their specialist arts course engaging with bespoke ‘behind the scenes’ Festival experiences. This program aims to connect our next generation of arts workers to professional arts practice against the backdrop of an International Festival.
Testimonials
"By fostering the next generation of artists and arts leaders, this initiative ensures that Perth’s artistic community will continue to thrive, innovate, and inspire for years to come."
– Shahna Gallagher, SVAPA Program Coordinator 2025, Mount Lawley Senior High School
"I would just like to say how amazing it was to experience the behind the scenes, backstage workings of a professional production. I loved how each of the operators would communicate with another with such ease and the way the lights, props, sound, projections, line prompting and acting all came together in sync. This was a great experience for me to see how sound is incorporated into the theatre scene in Perth and enriched my understanding of communicating and working with others on a production. Thank you so much for the experience!”
– Waitana Zarcharisassen-Baro (Year 12 Mt Lawley Student)
