Schools Performances

We are excited to offer some dedicated schools performances and discounted tickets to the following shows across a number of our theatre and dance events.

Tickets for these discounted performances are $24, with 1 complimentary teacher’s ticket for every 10 student tickets booked. We understand that class sizes and budgets are difficult to predict at this point in the year, so we offer a flexible booking approach for schools. Enter your requests now to reserve your tickets and confirm class sizes at the beginning of the new school year. To express your interest in accessing $24 tickets please complete our EOI form (found at the bottom of this page) by Mon 17 Nov.

Ticket requests will be assessed and we will let you know if you’ve been successful by Fri 21 Nov. A 25% non-refundable deposit is now due at the point of ticket confirmation. Class sizes must be confirmed no later than Wed 11 Feb 2026, with final payments due by Fri 13 Feb 2026. By completing the EOI form you have read and agree with all the information provided on the For Schools webpage and the Schools Ticketing form.

The $24 price point only applies to the specific performances indicated in our Schools Performance program and is not applicable across the whole Festival season.

If the $24 price allocation has been exhausted, we may offer you tickets at a different price.

After Mon 17 Nov ticket requests for any remaining $24 tickets will be handled on a case-by-case basis. We strongly recommend you get your ticket requests in by Mon 17 Nov as allocation is limited and demand is high.

Please find the EOI form at the bottom of this page, by clicking the 'Request Tickets Here' button.

Theatre

POV (NSW)

A daring and inventive piece of live theatre that turns the idea of storytelling on its head.

Eleven-year-old Bub is obsessed with documentary filmmaking. In the
aftermath of her family breakdown, she turns to dramatised re-enactments
to get to the truth. Each night two unrehearsed actors play her parents while
Bub directs the action. The script is playful, heartfelt and funny. But the
picture shifts with the whims of human impulse as the two actors respond
live and unprepared. Can these two adults really answer the tough questions of a child?

Lé Nør [the rain] (WA)

This hilarious and deeply romantic visual extravaganza will reignite your love of humanity.

Somewhere in the northern seas lies the small, fictional island nation of Sólset. Once a thriving metropolis, a decades-long drought has plagued the community and only a hopeful few remain.

Dragon I (WA/World Premiere)

Adam Kelly likes dragons! He’s been writing, talking and performing about
dragons for years. Now he’s noticed everyone seems to be talking about
and using AI. Should he? What if he could use Dragon I …

In this world premiere Adam uses his dragon world to debate: to AI or not to AI? Using theatre, animation and music, he explores the moral, artistic, neurodiverse and environmental implications of the AI juggernaut for a neurodivergent writer performer like himself.

Content suitability: This performance is best suited to ages 15+

Songs of the Bulbul (UK)

From award-winning UK choreographer and dancer Aakash Odedra comes a new solo dance work that brings the myth of the bulbul (nightingale) to life. Haribo Kimchi (Sth Korea)

The surprising flavour of seaweed soup, the sharp sound of a knife slicing cucumber, the hiss and sizzle of mushrooms on a scorching fire. Meet Jaha Koo and take a culinary journey with a snail, a gummy bear and an eel.

In a series of intimate, absurdist anecdotes, Koo recounts the evolution of kimchi culture, the bitter pain of unadulterated racism, the shame of trying to blend in and the deep umami taste of home. Combining music, cutting-edge video and robotic performers paired with cozy chatter and a culinary journey, Haribo Kimchi is a heart-warming performance that plays with all the senses.
