Our invitation to WA artists

We want to say hello!

Perth Festival is calling out to Western Australian artists and creatives to reach out and say hello.

We want to connect with people and projects from across WA neighbourhoods near and far. But this state is huge, and we only know what we know. So, we need your help.

We’re planning for festivals from 2025 – 2028 and we’d love to hear from you. If you have an idea to share or a story you think needs to be told, our door is open.

We are proud to be a festival that tells Western Australian stories and where commissioning new work and collaborations take centre stage.

Read the details below.

A provocation

Truth tellers, mischief makers, sand dunes and salty air.

We want to hear from Western Australian artists and creatives who have an idea or a story that will help us connect to or celebrate this provocation.

It could be an existing project in development or the simplest spark of a bold new idea, across any artform. Something for indoors, something for outdoors, something that could travel or something that can only happen in your neighbourhood.

How to submit your proposal

Please tell us a bit about your idea and yourself so we might explore ways to connect, support or collaborate.

Keep it as simple as you like, there is no need for fancy documents or presentations.

At this first stage of invitation, we would love to hear about your idea via:

Plus tell us a little bit yourself – 250 words.

To submit click the button below.

Please submit your proposals before 12 May.

Intellectual property for all materials submitted will be owned by you, the submitting artist/s.
