Film program manager

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Madeline Bates to the highly sought-after role of Program Manager: Film.

Our current program manager, Sherry Hopkins, will bow out next year after more than 40 years with the Festival.

Madeline comes to the Festival from the Edinburgh International Film Festival.

The search has begun

The search is on for the next Artistic Director of the Perth International Arts Festival. We’re casting our net worldwide for a replacement for current Artistic Director Shelagh Magadza, whose four-year cycle comes to an end in 2011.

Shelagh will present her final program in November and will

remain at the helm until the end of the 2011 Festival, allowing for a hand-over period with the new artistic director.

Since her first program in 2008, Shelagh has extended the reach of the Festival into the WA community and we now connect with 800,000 a year.
