South Lawn

Inner Courtyard

Right in the centre of FAC’S historic building. This enclosed grassed area provides an intimate setting with good acoustics.

GETTING THERE

PARKING

Free 4 hour parking bays are available outside Fremantle Arts Centre on Finnerty Street. There is also limited free street parking available on Ord and Vale Streets.

Paid parking bays are available at the Fremantle Leisure Centre (located opposite Fremantle Arts Centre on Ord Street).

Accessible parking
There are two accessible parking bays at the front entrance on Finnerty Street. Additional street parking is available on surrounding streets. Please refer to all street signs for parking limits and restrictions.

TRANSPORT OPTIONS

Fremantle train station is 1.2km from FAC. You can walk from the station to the Arts Centre in approximately 15 mins. The free Fremantle Red CAT service no longer operates. Refer to the Transperth website or call their InfoLine 13 62 13 for further information.

WRITERS WEEKEND TRANSPORT
A free and wheelchair accessible Transperth shuttle bus will run to and from Fremantle Arts Centre across the weekend. The bus will run approximately every 30mins from Stand 9, Fremantle Station to stop 20297, Skinner Street (John Curtin College of the Arts, approx. 3min walk) and return.

Last pick up from FAC 8.40pm

Sunday 8am – 7.30pm
First service departing Fremantle Train Station 8.05am
Last pick up from FAC 7.10pm

CYCLING

There is a bike rack at the front entrance on Finnerty Street.

Non-commercial photographs are welcome in FAC’s grounds and inside the building. Please note FAC’s grounds are open to the public daily and are not available for photography bookings.

Dogs are not permitted in FAC’s grounds, guide, hearing and assistance dogs excepted.

ACCESS INFORMATION

The Arts Centre is an old hospital building with generally wide corridors internally. The site is generally level and external paths are wide, with a slab surface.

GETTING AROUND 

Pick up and set down parking is available on Finnerty Street near the main entry.

SOUTH LAWN

Access to the South Lawn is via a steep paved road from the upper entry or via a level slab pathway from the lower entry.
The main South Lawn area is level lawn; all patrons will be required to traverse grass to reach the seated area.
Wheelchair spaces are available within the seated area; please note this area is on grass.

FRONT GARDEN

Access to the Front Garden is via a level slab pathway.
The Front Garden is level lawn; all patrons will be required to traverse grass to reach the seated area.
Wheelchair spaces are available within the seated area; please note this area is on grass.

INNER COURTYARD

Access to the Inner Courtyard is via a level slab pathway.
The Courtyard is a gently sloping lawn; all patrons will be required to traverse grass to reach the seated area.
Wheelchair spaces are available within the seated area; please note this area is on grass.

UPPER LAWN

Access to the Upper Lawn is via limestone steps and traversing up a grass slope. Alternative access is available via a steep paved road.
Perth Festival will have wheelchairs available onsite, please see a staff member if you would like assistance.
