And so is Festival season! Get ready for Wardan, a Festival celebrating our turbulent ocean, the calming seas, the journeys made across water and the joy we have beside it.
Ocean (Wardan) means many things to many people.
Barry McGuire of our Noongar Advisory Circle shares this:
‘Wardan is both a beginning and an ending. That old man ocean is fed by the old man river and pulled by the old man moon. From the ocean come clouds, from clouds rain, from rain rivers. Water, like life, is in an eternal cycle.’
