Enjoy family night out to the theatre that you'll never forget!
From the creator of the beloved Bambert’s Book of Lost Stories comes this part fairy-tale and part mad-cap adventure story
HOUSE is a heart-felt and hilarious tale of loneliness, friendship and flying houses. Cathelijn is completely and undeniably alone: no friends, no family, no-one to turn to. All by herself in the centre of a dark forest, she tries to be strong, like a Viking. And that’s when she sees it – the house. A higgledy-piggeldy mess of a place as tall as the trees. Inside, she finds Piotr, a boy who never stops talking, and Elka, a grey-haired explorer who insists they keep the curtains closed tight. When they suddenly launch into the air and set off across the sky, Cathelijn learns that this is no ordinary house: it’s a Rescue House, and it rescues the Loneliest Child in the World.
3. DATING AMBER
‘One of the most touching and hilarious Irish films.’ Irish Independent
This is the perfect movie night for the young adult in your life. Enjoy a night out under the stars at Lotterywest Films and see this poignant and funny coming-of-age story.
Dating Amber is a love letter to all those kids who grew up in a small town and needed to escape in order to be themselves. The two charming leads shine in this coming out and coming-of-age comedy crafted with style, salty, laugh-out-loud wit and emotional honesty.
4. Projections at City of Lights
Bring the family and see the Perth Cultural Centre come to life as we take over the space with City of Lights! Enjoy spectacular projections lighting up the buildings in an ever changing visual world of imagination.
On the hour, every hour, every night of the Festival see Bilya Beneath, an immersive 360-degree projection! This artwork rises across the buildings to wash away the layers of history – the crescendo of the modern world and the projected environment find quiet and tranquillity, euphoria and rebirth in the middle of our city.
