Special Projects

A new year-round division of Perth Festival

Perth Festival Special Projects (PFSP) is an exciting new venture created by Perth Festival to further our purpose – to enrich life through art.

This new division of Perth Festival drives our ambition to become a year-round cultural organisation that delivers always for our community, audiences and supporters. PFSP is designed to harness the power, creativity and experience of Australia’s longest-running arts festival to deliver strategy and expertise for projects and clients.

PFSP delivers projects that occur outside of the annual Festival program. These align with Perth Festival’s mission, deliver on its strategic objectives and generate income that contributes to organisational sustainability and year-round career opportunities. Areas of focus include cultural tourism, large scale projects and cultural policy.

The PFSP division reports directly to the Perth Festival Executive Director and works closely with our Noongar Advisory Circle.

High Voltage, Fremantle

A ROCK’N’ROLL STREET CIRCUIT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!

Inspired by Perth Festival 2020’s smash hit Highway to Hell, High Voltage took to the streets of Fremantle in May 2023! Seven flatbed trucks became live music stages on the move, making their way around a 5km street circuit with the sounds of great Aussie rock done differently on board.

A FESTIVAL DURING KAMBARANG

Light up your senses, reconnect with Country and rediscover nature over one weekend of celebration with EverNow. This spectacular new festival is set to inspire locals and visitors during Kambarang – the wildflower season of birth, new life and renewal in the Noongar calendar.

From 4 – 9 October, EverNow transformed three iconic central Boorloo/Perth locations with three free major after-dark events reflecting WA's unique environment and culture. We saw Boorna Waanginy: The Trees Speak return to Kings Park, joined in a celebration of Noongar culture in Song Circle, and experienced the Supreme Court Gardens ablaze with firelight in Fire Gardens.

4 – 9 Oct 2023, Perth
