When is the Box Office at Somerville open? 

The Box Office will be open from 5.30pm on the evenings of film sessions.

Where can I buy Film tickets & Vouchers with cash?  
We offer cash payments for every Festival event, including Lotterywest Films Festival at our Perth Festival Box Office, located at Tuart House, 3 Crawley Ave, Crawley. For opening hours see Booking Information.

What is Cheap Tuesday?

On Tuesday evenings, you can attend Lotterywest Film Festival sessions for only $12.50 per ticket!

Tickets can be purchased online in advanced, by selecting the Cheap Tuesday ticket price on a Tuesday night film.

A limited number of these tickets can be purchased online in advanced, by selecting the Cheap Tuesday ticket price on a Tuesday night film.   

After these tickets are sold out online, we hold additional quantities for sale exclusively from the venue box office. 

Film vouchers can be used for Cheap Tuesdays, however, one voucher is exchangeable for a single Cheap Tuesday ticket.  We recommend using your vouchers on other nights.

My film got cancelled, what do I do?  

Anyone who attends a film screening that is cancelled will be automatically refunded to their original payment method.

If you do not have access to that payment method, please contact [email protected] with your order number.    

If your tickets were a gift, the refund will be returned to the original purchaser. 

I have a film voucher pack and my film got cancelled. Can I get my voucher back? 

Any vouchers used for cancelled film screenings will be returned to your original order, please allow up to 5 business days for the vouchers to reappear on your Perth Festival account, under the 'Upcoming Events' tab. Vouchers cannot be returned in exchange for cash. 

What if it’s raining?   

Lotterywest Films will go ahead rain or shine, unless there’s a risk to patrons or staff. If a screening is cancelled in advance, we will notify all ticket holders and update our website and social media by 7pm.

Seating at Somerville Auditorium

Somerville seating is sold as unreserved general admission.   Thanks to our wonderful supporter Lotterywest, there are plenty of deckchairs with cushions available. We also encourage you to bring extra comfort items like pillows, blankets, or a jacket, as it can get cooler once the sun sets.

When you arrive at the venue, you are welcome to reserve your preferred seats using your belongings or the provided Lotterywest cushions before enjoying your picnic elsewhere within the grounds.  

As a general rule, seats that have personal possessions or Lotterywest cushions placed on them have been reserved by other patrons.  We ask that you respect your fellow patrons by not moving or removing other people’s belongings and not sitting in seats which have been reserved with Lotterywest cushions.

On busy nights, we also ask that you do not save more seats than you actually require.

Can I bring my own chair? 

You are welcome to bring your own chair. However, chairs must be placed in designated areas, as directed by venue staff. 

What happened to the beanbags?

The UWA owned beanbags at Somerville have unfortunately reached end of life and can no longer be maintained to an adequate standard.

We do still have cushions available for your use at the venue, and you are welcome to bring your own cushions and blankets with you.

Getting there

Somerville is accessible by car, public transport or bicycle. 

Parking
UWA has many car parks patrons can access. Please refer to all signage in the car park for payments and duration. The closest car park to Somerville Auditorium, that does have access bays is:
Car Park 1
Located on the north side of the Recreation Centre
Entry via Stirling Highway
5 x ACROD bays

Transport 
Buses frequently travel past UWA along Stirling Highway and Mounts Bay Road. Please refer to the Transperth website for details. Plan your journey with Transperth on their website or call their info line 13 62 13.

Cycling
There are bicycle racks located at the entrance to Somerville beside the Recreation Centre.

Getting around
Pick up and set down is available in UWA's Car Park 1. A bay is allocated for drop off on the eastern side of the car park.

Level access to venue from paved entry.
Venue flooring is a combination of paving and compact dirt.

Seating
Our wheelchair seating has been relocated to better positions with prime viewing. If you need a hand locating the spots please speak to front of house.

Wheelchair seating is also available on the side of the auditorium. Speak to our lovely venue staff on arrival if you require assistance.

Hard back chairs are available on either side of the auditorium on the wings, at the front and the back.

Toilets
A universal access toilet is located in the foyer of the neighbouring Octagon Theatre. Additional accessible toilets are located in the Music building.

Audio
There is no audio loop available for performances in UWA Somerville Auditorium.
