Perth Festival will be taking its Lotterywest Films program of exciting international films to new audiences from 2020.

The Festival will build on the ongoing success of its popular UWA Somerville outdoor cinema by expanding the reach of the very best in international cinema to venues around WA.

Both Perth Festival and Edith Cowan University are exploring other opportunities after the conclusion of their partnership at ECU Joondalup Pines at the end of the current 2019 Lotterywest Films season.

The Festival thanks ECU for a long and successful partnership over the past two decades.

The 2019 Lotterywest Films program continues at ECU Joondalup Pines and UWA Somerville until April 7. Lotterywest Films will return to UWA Somerville again next Summer.

Festival Program Manager Film Tom Vincent said: ‘It’s always been a pleasure to present a selection the best films from around the world to the enthusiastic and diverse audiences at ECU Joondalup Pines.

‘Patrons at ECU Joondalup have enjoyed many international hit films over the past 20 summers. In recent seasons these have included Sink or Swim, The Party, Cold War and Shoplifters alongside emerging Australian filmmakers, and collaborations with WA schools.’
