Perth Festival is seeking an experienced, CPA qualified accountant to join our Corporate Services team and take the lead on some interesting financial processes and projects.
We are an annually curated multi-genre arts festival in Perth, WA that showcases the very best of national and international film, theatre, circus, dance, literature and music. The Lotterywest Film season runs from November to April and the Perth Festival runs across February, but we are busy all year planning and preparing for delivery. Our team expands from a core team of 34 to over 200 at the peak of Festival – creating a unique, fast paced and ever-changing working environment.
The role of Finance Manager is a full-time, fixed-term parental leave cover that will manage our financial reporting, business partnering and compliance as we prepare for the 2021 Festival. You will have the opportunity to lead us through the Festival, year-end audit, and project manage our systems development as we move to a Cloud based and integrated finance system and introduce new streamlined systems and processes. You will also support our Development team and annual budgeting process for the 2022 Festival.

- Financial Reporting, including monthly management accounts, year end and statutory reporting
- Monthly forecasting and cash flow
- Reconciliations and acquittals
- Finance systems administration and project management
The ideal candidate for this role will be a solutions focussed self-starter who enjoys achieving results and working at pace. They will also be able to demonstrate the following:
- CPA (or equivalent) qualifications
- Charity / NFP accounting experience with strong technical knowledge across accounting, tax, payroll, and compliance
- Excellent project management, communication and organisational skills
- Proficiency in a range of computing skills and software, including advanced Excel skills. MYOB would be a bonus!
