About the role
Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Services Director, this pivotal role will lead a team to achieve Perth Festival's strategic goals.
The Finance and Corporate Services Manager is responsible for supporting the management of the finance and corporate services functions of Perth Festival (PF). The role supports a team of finance professionals to ensure the financial and corporate services objectives of PF are delivered in an efficient and effective manner, with regard to accuracy and timeliness. The role also provides support with IT and facilities functions and undertakes governance and risk activities across the organization.
Some of the key responsibilities of the role are to:
- Provide support in the delivery of sound financial management, including assistance with budgeting, audit, financial reporting and day-to-day finance tasks.
- Provide assistance in ensuring all of PF’s legal responsibilities are met, including but not limited to financial legislative requirements such as GST, PAYG, other taxes, insurance, and financial and charitable reporting.
- Support the delivery of Perth Festival’s governance and strategic project work, including management of the organisational risk register and PF’s policies and procedures.
- Provide day-to-day support and assistance to the Perth Festival IT and Operation’s Manager for ICT and facilities maintenance requirements.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent competency.
- CA or CPA qualified or equivalent (or significant progress towards completion).
- Relevant financial management and corporate services experience at a senior level.
- Highly developed organisational skills and ability to set priorities, manage competing demands, and meet deadlines.
- Highly developed interpersonal, relationship and communication skills.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and / or people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
