Maxine Doyle is the co-director and choreographer of Punchdrunk’s seminal creations Sleep No More and The Drowned Man and is the artistic director and lead creative on the STRUT Dance / Perth Festival co-commissioned world premiere of SUNSET.
Maxine and her team will lead a bespoke workshop unpacking the principles that have governed the creation and performance of SUNSET. The workshop will take place at the Sunset Heritage Precinct on set and is open to dance artists, directors, actors and physical theatre practitioners.

About Maxine Doyle
Maxine Doyle is an independent choreographer and director. Since 2002 she has been the associate director and choreographer for Punchdrunk, with whom she co-directed the multi-award winning Sleep No More (London, Boston, New York, Shanghai), The Drowned Man, The House Where Winter Lives and The Duchess of Malfi (an operatic collaboration with English National Opera and Thorsten Rasch). She was Artistic Director of First Person Dance Company from 1996 –2003 touring works such as Deja Deux, In the Face of a Stranger, Plastic Chill and It’s Only a Gameshow. In 2006 she was a Place Prize semi-finalist with Forest.
SUNSET is on at the Sunset Heritage Precinct from 07 – 17 February.
