You can sit at home in front of the small screen anytime you like, but summer in Perth is the time to get out and enjoy the very best international cinema on the big screen out under the stars.
Meet up with friends and kick back as some of the world’s biggest names – Penelope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Mads Mikkelsen and Javier Bardem – take you across the globe in a selection of award-winning films.
Stay tuned in the new year for the announcement of more features, short documentaries from budding young film makers and a retrospective on comic book film adaptations.
What to Bring
It’s a good idea to bring a blanket, cushion and handy picnic items. It can get cool by the river after the sun goes down, so bring a jacket to stay warm and comfortable while watching the film.
There is limited seating within the venue, patrons are welcome to bring their own chairs into the venue (these can only be used in grass areas).
There’s food and drink available for purchase at the venue but feel free to BYO your own summer picnic!
Films will usually go ahead in the event of light rain. Cancellations will be announced by 6.30pm on the evening of the screening here and on Facebook and Twitter. An announcement will only be made if a screening is cancelled.
For patrons who have pre-purchased tickets, and in the event of rain, request an exchange for another screening to firstname.lastname@example.org prior to the starting time.
