Taking their name from the border town of California and Mexico, Calexico has been mixing musical styles and cultural perspectives since the mid ‘90s, creating their very own brand of Tex-mex, Americana, indie rock with broad Latin influences. Whatever your definition of Calexico’s mercurial, melodious fusion, everyone agrees it is as effective as it is imaginative and as appealing as it is invigorating. Over the course of nine studio albums Calexico have become cult heroes for this well-cultivated signature sound and their outstanding live shows and collaborations with everyone from Arcade Fire to My Morning Jacket and Iron & Wine.
