“This was fun!”
Active, meditative, creative or destructive, Worktable is a live installation with you at the centre.
After travelling to nearly 40 cities across the world Worktable comes to Gallery Central in Northbridge. Participants enter a room where they can stay as long as they like. Once inside you’ll find instructions, equipment and safety goggles – and then you get to work. It’s up to you to decide how things come apart and what holds them together.
New Zealand-born and Brussels-based Kate McIntosh creates work guided by her ongoing fascination with the misuse of objects, playfulness with audiences and offbeat humour. In her thought-provoking Worktable, she’s giving you the power to unleash your creativity and to potentially discover things you didn’t know about yourself!
We provide the hammer – you do the rest.
