The Peanut Butter Falcon
‘Hands down the best film of 2019.’
In this sweet, soulful adventure Zak, a young man with Down syndrome, runs away from a residential nursing home to chase his dream of attending the professional wrestling school of his idol, The Salt Water Redneck. A strange turn of events sees him hook up with a small-time outlaw on the run, who becomes Zak’s unlikely coach and ally. Together this unlikely duo travel down the North Carolina coast eluding capture, catching fish, drinking whiskey and finding God.
Shia LeBeouf and newcomer Zack Gottsagen have a wonderful chemistry in this laconic Southern-fried buddy movie. At its big heart The Peanut Butter Falcon is an uplifting tale of friendship and freedom.
