Maxine Doyle and STRUT Dance
An exciting new dance theatre creation in the making.
STRUT Dance is the national centre for choreographic development based in Perth WA. Since 2016, STRUT has engaged Maxine Doyle, the visionary choreographer from Punchdrunk, as one of the lead artists of its master workshop program, which has been attracting performing artists from all over the globe to our shores.
Maxine Doyle is a pioneer in site-based, dance theatre performances the world over. She has co-directed large scale, immersive experiences for promenading audiences. The Drowned Man and Sleep No More are now cited as some of the most attended and critically lauded performances in recent history.
STRUT Dance, Maxine Doyle and her team will present an exhilarating outcome of research for their new creation to premiere in 2019 - animating one of Perth’s iconic heritage precincts.
