‘Incredibly witty, fast-paced, and unmistakably French.’
This droll, very contemporary drama probes literature, relationships, art and online culture. Worldly Parisian publisher Alain must deal delicately with disheveled author Léonard, whose fictionalised versions of his friends’ lives are not selling well. Meanwhile Alain’s wife Serena (Juliette Binoche) feels that her acting work in a popular TV show, though well-paid, is beneath her talents. Over a series of meetings and sparkling, rapid-fire conversations Alain, Serena and Léonard reveal that their professional and personal affairs are connected in surprising ways.
