MÁM
Teaċ Daṁsa
'Mám sears upon the stage over 90 minutes of ritualised ecstasy'
Around a single red-haired little girl, 12 dancers summon a whirlwind of myth and magic, moved by the collaborative music making of virtuoso Irish traditional concertina player Cormac Begley and European classical contemporary collective s t a r g a z e.
MÁM is international dance-theatre at its finest, playfully and provocatively taking you on an otherworldly journey grounded in the untamed earth of West Kerry in Ireland.
Following the overwhelming success of Swan Lake (Loch na hEala), Teaċ Daṁsa returns to the Festival with a rapturous new production. Tradition and innovation collide in ’90 minutes of ritualised ecstasy’ (The Irish Times).
