‘Sophisticated pop with a folky twist crowned by a heaven-sent voice.’ Delusions of Adequacy (Julia Jacklin)
Indie-folk charmer Julia Jacklin is renowned for searing ballads, breathtaking vulnerability and deft lyricism. Jacklin melds confessional alt-country with dreamy indie pop. This evening promises sophisticated songcraft, wit and wisdom delivered with equally silken tones. Warming the stage for Jacklin is Jess Ribeiro, renowned for her blend of indie rock and intricate folk-noir.
Note: Memphis songwriter Julien Baker has cancelled all remaining dates on her 2019 tour. In place of Baker we are pleased to announce spectacular songbird Jess Ribeiro will be joining the bill with Julia Jacklin. Perth Festival has contacted all ticket holders who have booked for that night to offer a refund or exchange. Exchanges are dependent on availability and any difference in ticket prices will be paid or refunded accordingly.
