Presented in association with Salon Art Projects and DADAA
Tennant Creek artist Dion Beasley has turned his love of dogs into artwork, with his Cheeky Dogs drawings, t-shirts and children’s book illustrations loved in Australia and around the world. This selection of original works at DAADA, which depicts Beasley’s fascination with cheeky dogs and his unconventional journey into the world of contemporary art, is certain to win him many new fans.
Being profoundly Deaf and non-verbal lead to Beasley perfecting the art of drawing his experiences and developing a form of communication with others. His art, and his award-winning books, portray in vivid detail his life in Tennant Creek and the people, places and dogs he loves. This exhibition is sure to capture the imagination of art (and dog) lovers of all ages.
