We are looking for ten curious curators to plan and create a carnival for all the wild things, both animals and humans at Perth Zoo.

Participants should be in Years 4 - 6 in 2021.

About Curated by Kids – Gone Wild!

We are looking for ten curious curators to plan and create a carnival for all the wild things, both animals and humans at Perth Zoo.

Our Curators will help develop the program for Wild Things, the Perth Festival takeover of the Zoo. Our wildest family day out yet. The Curators will meet with the Perth Festival programming team and Perth Zoo staff members to develop a day of activities, getting insight into how the Festival operates and creating an event that they would want to attend with their friends.

This is an excellent opportunity for small people with big ideas who love the arts, animals and the environment.

Who You Are

To participate in Curated by Kids – Gone Wild! your child will:

  • Be in Year 4 – 6 in 2021 Live in Western Australia
  • Love animals and feel passionately about helping them
  • Have an interest in any art form (music, dance, theatre, photography, film etc.)
  • Be able to attend the workshops as outlined below
  • Be happy to share ideas with a group
  • Be a creative thinker with an inquisitive mind
  • Read, understand and accept the Terms & Conditions – Curated by Kids Gone Wild, with your parent / guardian

Key Information

Participation in Curated by Kids – Gone Wild! is free of charge for successful applicants. Perth Festival will provide with each Curator with two complimentary tickets to attend the big day.

Curators will be supervised by a Perth Festival staff member at all times.

What is one artistic experience that you have loved?*

Why would you be a great curator for Wild Things?

*This could be a book, a festival, a film, a play, a photograph, a gallery, something at school – anything artistic at all!

Information for Parents & Guardians

Please note that applicants must ensure they have your permission before submitting an Expression of Interest. The Parents / Guardians of chosen participants will be required to sign a hard copy version of the Project Terms & Conditions that gives consent for the participant’s involvement in the program.

The Parent / Guardian nominated on the Expression of Interest will be the person who receives all communications regarding this project from Perth Festival.
