Planning your NAIDOC Week 2022 activities? We think your students will love the Perth Festival Playbook!

A page from the Perth Festival 2022 Playbook

What is the Playbook?

Each year Perth Festival commissions a Playbook to accompany the Festival program. It’s a short artistic A5 document that invites its user to draw, think, explore and react creatively to the world around them. This year’s Playbook was created by Noongar artist Yabini Kickett, responding to the 2022 Festival theme of Wardan [Ocean]. The Playbook is aimed at school students, but there’s something in here for everyone.

The pages are full of questions, provocations. images and ideas. Use them in your classroom however you like; as artistic brain-breaks for your students, as extensions of their Noongar Storytelling engagement, as a tool to make class outings more creative, or in any way your imagination allows.

We've run out of Playbooks! But you can still join in the fun, find the PDF of our 2022 Festival Playbook here.
