Welcome to the Great Southern Program

Welcome to the seventh Great Southern program presented by the Perth International Arts Festival.

Over the years, artists from around the world have enjoyed the unique experience that is the south of our state – and all have gone away touched by the extraordinary hospitality of the region. The Festival continues to attract visitors to the region with the success of events such as Playmakers, which has started an annual pilgrimage of avid instrument makers and musicians eager to share their craft.

Great Southern artists make a significant contribution to this year’s program and offer a distinctive reflection of the community. From children’s events, paper art and a celebration of food, this is a wonderful chance to celebrate your own creativity.
