LOTTERYWEST FESTIVAL CELEBRATION

La Fura dels Baus create massive, awe-inspiring shows that combine human athletic precision, breathtaking acrobatics and large moveable structures. Among their many creations are flying angels, giant wheels hovering in open air and daredevil choreography performed in a spinning, smoking globe.

Created specifically for our Festival, this amazing opening event sees 60 people from Perth taking a hands-on role in a visual spectacle 70 metres above the ground. Come out and cheer on these brave citizens in a show sure to have kids and adults rapt with open-mouthed wonder.

Multi-award winning and utterly unique, La Fura dels Baus have a world-class reputation for artistic excellence. Their remarkable public shows have been performed around the globe, including at the 1992 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony and in Barcelona for the millennium celebration.

Patrons are welcome to bring a picnic to Supreme Court Gardens, however you are advised to pack away your belongings before the show commences, as the audience will be required to move during the performance.

Please wear sensible shoes, as audience members will need to move, and warm clothing, as evenings may be cool.
