HYPNOTIC BRASS ENSEMBLE
CLOSING NIGHT
Hypnotic are a happening nine-piece who combine the urgency of hip-hop, the heritage of jazz and the soul of Chicago. Totally natural, they don't employ amps or electricity, just horns, drums and a whole lot of energy.
Comprised of eight brothers – sons of esteemed jazz trumpeter Phil Cohran – the band take elements from all styles to make music that speaks to and for their generation. They've toured with Mos Def, Blur and Erykah Badu and set the North Sea Jazz Festival alight with their hot hooks.
Closing Night continues with world renowned UK DJ and tastemaker Gilles Peterson on the decks.
